Captain Rod’s Maple Walnut Prawns
12 walnut halves
¼ cup of brown sugar
2 Tbs. of butter
¼ cup of maple syrup
Melt butter in a fry pan on medium heat.
Add ½ of the brown sugar, place walnuts on the brown sugar. Add remaining brown sugar on walnuts.
Turn nuts and coat well. Add maple syrup coat all nuts and turne heat off.
1 Lb prawns
3 Tbsp of butter
1 garlic clove
¼ cup dry white wine.
Salt & pepper
Cut a slit on the back of the prawn and de-vain.
Mince garlic. Melt butter and add the garlic on medium heat.
Add prawns to the butter and garlic. After 2 minutes on one side turn prawn, add the wine and cover for 2 minutes. Remove excess liquid add salt and pepper to taste. Add your prepared walnuts to prawns. Serve hot one nut per prawn.
